We left Virginia Beach this morning as soon as they issued a "Tornado warning". We were going to leave to Washington D.C. anyway, but we decided to leave a tad bit earlier. I guess I shouldn't have washed the truck yesterday as we enjoyed heavy rain over the next 3 hours as we headed north. When we got to Washington, the weather was somewhat windy but no rain which was a good thing. I did manage to get the truck parked in the lower garage of the Holiday Inn. I should have had a Smart Car because that was the width and length of the available parking spaces. We did venture out and did get some sightseeing in. It was just amazing to see the Capitol and monuments in the park. We are excited for tomorrow and plan on visiting the Smithsonian , Air & Space Museum and the Museum of Natural History. More photos to follow!

Hi Kelly, We just missed you when you were in DC. Weren't the Cherry Blossoms gorgeous. We went up on the 2/3rd and ventured over to Charlottesville for the remainder of the weekend. We had rain on Friday am but it turned beautiful the rest of the weekend. We hope to meet your family while you're in VA Beach.
